तुझे मिलने की ख्वाहिश है जो यह जान भी नहीं जाती,

तू जाने है मेरी हालत मगर फिर भी नहीं आती।
I refuse to die in a desire to meet you,
you don't come,even when my condition you knew.

मोहब्बत थी नहीं तो क्यूँ हस कर गुज़रती थी,

नज़रें मिलाने की थी क्या कोई ज़बरदस्ती।
Why you pass smiling,when there was no love,
to glimpse like that there is no pressure above.

युहीं गर खेलना था तो दिल मेरे से क्यूँ खेला,

मेरी तू न थी मंजिल किया फिर क्या ये झमेला।
If you wanted to play than why from my heart?
You were not what I desire,than why a start?

अगर अब तेरी सूरत मेरी नज़रों ने न देखी,

निकल जाएगी जान जल्दी हुई गर ऐसी अनदेखी।
Now I will die,if you not appear for me,
I will be doomed for ignorance of my plea.

तड़प मेरी ही किस्मत में तुने जाने क्यूँ लिखदी,

तेरे तो चाहने वालों की थी फैरिस्त लम्बी सी।
Why all sufferings are for me destined,
when for you so many lovers are lined.

कोई ऐसी खबर पाने को बेठें हैं अभी तक हम,

के शायद आसमानों में मीलों तो हो न ये सितम.
I am alive to hear a news from you,
Perhaps in after life,you have a different view.
