सोचो - आखिर कब सोचेंगे?(Think- When will we think?) - Nawaaz Deobandi.

Today when many parts of India are burning under the fire of communal riots,this Nawaaz Deobandi's composition wake us to think about this problem before it's too late.

दरहम-बरहम दोनों सोचें, Both broken and shattered think,

मिल-जुलकर हम दोनों सोचें, Together both of us should think,

ज़ख्म का मरहम दोनों सोचें, Cure for the wounds both should think,

सोचें पर हम दोनों सोचें, Let's both of us should think,

घर जलकर राक हो जाएगा, When all houses will be burned,

जब सब कुछ ख़ाक हो जाएगा, Everything in ashes will be turned,
तब सोचेंगे? Then we will think?
सोचो आखिर कब सोचेंगे ? Think,when will we think?

दीवार-ओ-दर राक़ हुए हैं, Doors and walls have ruined,
ईंट और पत्थर राक़ हुए हैं, Bricks and stones have ruined,
उनके बारे में कुछ सोचो, Think of those,
जिनके छप्पर ऱाक हुए हैं, Whose shed have ruined,
बे बाल-ओ-पर हो जाएंगे, When callow we will become,
जब ख़ुद बेघर हो जाएंगे, When homeless we will become,
तब सोचेंगे? Then we will think?
सोचो आखिर कब सोचेंगे ? Think,when we will think?

फ़ाके से मजबूर मरे हैं, Those helpless with hunger have died,
मेहनत कश मज़दूर मरे हैं, Hardworking labourer have died,
अपने घर की आग में जलकर, By burning in fire of their own house,
गुमनाम और मशहूर मरे हैं, Anonymous and famous have died,
एक क़यामत दर पर होगी, When problem will be at our doors,
मौत हमारे सर पर होगी, When death will be at head of yours,
तब सोचेंगे? Then we will think?

कैसी बदबू फूट रही है, Which dirty smell is coming,
पत्ती-पत्ती टूट रही है, Leaves have started breaking,
फूलों से नाराज़ हैं कांटे, Flowers are angry with thorns,
गुल से खुशबू रूठ रही है, Fragrance from flower is sulking,
खुशबू रुकसत हो जाएगी, When fragrance will be gone,
बाग में वेहशत हो जाएगी, When horror in garden will be full on,
तब सोचेंगे? Then we will think?

टीपू के अरमान जलें हैं, Tipu's desires have burned,
बापू के एहसान जले हैं, Bapu's favours have burned,
गीता और क़ुरान जले हैं, Geeta and Quran have burned,
हद ये है इंसान जले हैं, Limit is that Humans have burned,
हर तीरथ स्थान जलेगा, When every holy place will be on fire,
सारा हिन्दुस्तान जलेगा, When whole India will be on fire,
तब सोचेंगे? Then we will think?
